Here is the healthy and tasty recipe of Carrot Idly.A variety of Idlis can be made using the idli batter.Carrot idli can be had with a variety of chutneys like coconut chutney,tomato chutney, onion chutney, pudina chutney and sambar. It also tatses good with the idli podi.
- Idly Batter(idly maavu in english- Idly batter) should be fermented for 8 to 10 hours after grinding – 2 cups
- Shredded carrot/finely chopped carrot – 1 small cup
- Oil to grease the idly plates.
METHOD TO PREPARE:
- Mix the shredded carrot/finely chopped carrot in the idli batter and stir it well.
- Grease the Idly plates with little oil.
- Pour required amount of water in the cooker to steam the idly.
